Arkansas at Auburn Blown Call October 16th

Here is video of the blown call from the 2nd quarter of the Arkansas vs Auburn game. The Auburn player is given a touchdown even though a fumble was called on the field. Take a look for yourself and decide if he got in the end zone.

[update: Looks like the SEC didn’t want people seeing the replay of the blown call. They’re party poopers and took the video down. Sorry, there isn’t anything we can do about it. If you know of other places people can find the video, please leave a comment to the link.]

      Well 51 if we’re being honest…

But I wouldn’t expect you to have any perspective in victory. I mean it’s not like your team was handed a completely game and momentum changing TD in BOTH halves of the game. And it’s also definitely not like our 1st Rd draft pick QB only played a quarter and a half.

Auburn won. Auburn is worthy of being a Top 10 team. I do doubt whether they were truly worthy of winning that game though…

Guess what if those calls would have gone the correct way thats 14 points taken away from auburn and arkansas would have most likely scored 14 points so lets think then the score would of been arkansas 57 auburn 51. Hmmm what does that tell you? that auburn is just like florida, they both can’t beat arkansas without the help of the refs making some dumb as hell calls.

no the ruling on the field was a fumble, then seconds before it was being reviewed, an official ran in signaling touchdown. This was a good 20 seconds or longer after the fumble was called. hmm…

Im going to be honest and i’m a auburn fan but it wasn’t a touchdown and you can say Arkansas would’ve won but they did not and Auburn would’ve won either way -14 to 65 but Arkansas might’ve not even scored so dont even say arkansas won

Just know that it was undisputable evidence and we killed your quartarback almost so just say now that we deserved it

I was at the game. The ref signaled a touchdown. You should be able to see it if you watch the replays.

Everyone says if you take those 14 points away Auburn still wins. You guys keep forgetting that Arkansas would have gotten the ball back after driving it down your throats the last two possessions.

I’m also pretty sure that Wilson wouldn’t have thrown the two INT’s and would have kept killing you guys at 15 yards but got behind and had to make things happen. The game was one hell of a lot closer than what the final said.

  2. It doesn’t matter if they deserve to be a top ten team! The call was bad and they even had replay on it. It was a fumble and the second review for arkansas was a bad call too. His knee was down! Two touchdowns that should have never been. It’s clear the review guy was 1. a tiger fan 2. needed glasses 3. had a tiger help him with the call. Either way it should have never been two touchdowns.
I can take a lose but taking one that way i can’t live with it, sorry the review guy is a dumb***.

Look there were bad calls both ways I give you the blown call at goal line and the knee was down, but a bad PI gave u ball at goal line or 2 yd line…Than the 4th down call placement of ball was TERRIBLE and you score right after that. So enough of the whining the refs were terrible both ways. Your D lost that game for you and Our almsot lost it for us. Lets move on and by the way we have been on the other side of many bad calls in the last few games I will admit it is better winning in spite of them

This is bigger than Arkansas or Auburn. This is about the SEC protecting its gate. This year by virtue of their undefeated status Auburn and LSU are the benefactors. I believe this is just more evidence that the SEC Office is protecting its “House”. Auburn and LSU are the only two darlings left this year. Only one chance to put an undefeated in the BCS this year. Auburn and LSU meet next week. The game next week will be fairly called. If I’m Auburn I’d rather beat Arkansas strait up. No zebra gifts. Now we don’t really know who won that game because the fumble that clearly showed Green’s knee (lower leg) to be down, when Arkansas had the first down. Was a spirit-breaker for the Hogs. Who gets shafted next time. Maybe we should just call the season off after Auburn and LSU meet because that seems to be all that really matters to the league office anyway. Just declare the winner the champ. End the season right there. Every SEC fan should hammer the SEC Office this week. This is not right!

Overwhelmingly irritated by bad calls in game. I guess what bothers me the most is the effect the calls have at that point in game. You never know what would be the outcome, if they had been called correctly. SEC is “the” conference in college football. Is it because they have the best football teams in the country or the best orchestration in the country. We can complain, but the game is over. Maybe the referees will get in trouble or at least appear to. I think it’s crap. Every UA alumni, contributor, and fan should be furious. You can’t be so blatant, or can you. Everyone will forget next week. Except for those of us whose rears are sore. Hope the SEC can produce another national champion this year. We’ve all sacrficed something for it.

FYI…A touchdown was called on the field…not a fumble. There has to be INDISPUTABLE evidence to overturn the call on the field. And there wasn’t. Deal with it.

Yea a td was called. Its not like some ref ran in with his arms up a second before the play was being reviewed after a fumble was called 20 seconds before. That would be ludicrous…

The ref closest to the play threw the bean bag before anyone could have called a touchdown. The ruling on the field was a fumble!

You might want to watch that video again. See that little white bag thrown by the guy right to the side of the play? That means fumble, not touchdown.

And again, there are MULTIPLE refs…one ref called it a TD, one called it a fumble, they got together and the one who called it a fumble deferred to the better positioning of the one who called it a TD…the call ON THE FIELD was a TD, replay wasn’t conclusive so they didnt overturn…had it been ruled a fumble, they wouldnt have over-ruled that either…Quit whining..

FYI the “official” ruling on the field was a TD, except in I’ve seen no video evidence to indicate that the person credited for such did so.

FYI, the second blown call, the Razorbacks had the lead and were driving.

FYI, the SEC has the best on the field product and the worst refs. Year after year.

    Its a shame

No one ruled it a TD. There is no video or witness evidence to that effect. If there is, let’s see it. The only zebra with a call was the side judge who ruled the play a fumble-hogs ball. The ref who supposedly had the better angle was completely blocked off from the play. But he gets to overrule the guy who made the fumble ruling/? Yeah, right…I don’t think so. I also don’t think I’ll stop voicing my most strenuous objections to the complete jobbing we got (for the second year in a row) at an undefeated opponent’s venue.

I’ve had friends from other conferences actually ask me if the SEC is really that desperate to have a team in the MNC game? I ask them: ‘What does the evidence show you?’

I’M WONDERING ,DO THE ODDS MAKERS LIKE IT -IF THEY DID THAN S.E.C. MADE IT SO. LETS FACE IT THERES MONEY TO BE MADE IN THE SOUTHEASTERN CHEATING CONFERENCE. A 6-0 AUBURN TEAM LOOKS MIGHTY GOOD WHO ELSE DID THEY HAVE THAT WAS GOING TO GO UNDEFEATED AT THIS POINT THIS WAY THEY WIN- AN UNDEFEATED AUBURN WINS THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP -TOO BAD IT MIGHT BE TAKEN AWAY FOR RECRUITING VIOLATIONS BUT THATS NOTHING NEW FOR THE S.E.C. – MONEY MONEY MONEY —–MONEY! TOO BAD THE WHOLE U.S.A. SAW IT -SO MUCH FOR YOUR REP’S — REF’S .,

WATCHED IT OVER AND OVER NEVER SAW THE REF SIGNAL- ALSO ,YOU CAN SEE TWO REF’S HAD A CLEAR VIEW FROM BOTH SIDES-EVERY ANGLE ON FILM THAT I SAW ,I DIDN’T THINK IT WAS CLEAR THAT HE EVER BROKE THE PANE-SO I CAN’T CALL THAT A T.D. – I THINK MORE AND MORE THE REF’S DON’T LIKE PETRINO NO1 AND NO. 2 THE S.E.C. WOULD HAVE TO HOPE AUBURN WINS THE GAME SO THEY HAVE A TEAM THAT IS CLOSE TO GOING UNDEFEATED,AFTER ALL IF ARK WINS THAT JUST LEAVES THE LAST SHOT L.S.U. RIGHT -I THINK MONEY IS TALKING AND IT’S ASHAME BECAUSE EVERYBODY WATCHES THOSE GAMES NOT JUST S.E.C. PEOPLE AND THIS SITUATION IS BECOMING CLEAR THE S.E.C. DOES’NT MIND CHEATING A BIT TO GET A GREAT PRODUCT. IT CHEAPENS THE CONFERENCE.CAN YOU IMAGINE IF IT KEEPS HAPPENING-IT’S PRETTY TRANSPARENT AS IT IS-LOOK AT LAST YEAR U A -FLA GAME THAT WAS OBVIOUS-TO SET UP ALA-FLA – WHO KNOWS WHO ELSE IS INVOLVED -CBS ? ODDS MAKERS ? MONEY TALKS . BOTTOM LINE ,IT OCCURS ALL THE TIME -MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL. WHAT A RACKET !!!!!!!!!!!

I am an Arkansas fan, and I must say Auburn fans are right (they always are you know) in that the calls really equaled out (Huh?). The fact is they won, and probably deserved to, it’s just that refs shouldn’t be in the business of deciding who wins and who loses. Momentum is one of the biggest factors in sports. Let me hear one Auburn fan dispute the huge momentum shifts in the game with the two “Big Time Blown Calls.” I did hear Auburn did the right thing and gave the game ball to the head official. Sweet!!

For people saying no one called it a TD your wrong I was sitting in the end-zone right behind the ref that ruled it a TD (do I think he was in probably not) but not enough evidence to overturn. Secondly the second was a fumble he was on top of another player when ball comes out his knees not down i will agree first one bad call second one call was right. lastly for the people saying if those calls don’t get called that Arkansas wins you don’t know Those could have led to an Auburn interception that got our D fired up and Auburn wins by more than they did or a sack on your backup and he gets hurt so you have to put your third string in you cant play the butterfly effect cause no one knows what would happen. The Refs didnt lose the or win the game for anyone(they did give yall a bad PI call that led to and Arkansas TD and a $th down spot that led to one also) any coach will tell you a team shouldnt put their selves in a situation where it comes down to the officials everyone tends to forget the 2interception Arkansas threw that led to two TDs to really put the game away.

Yeah, those two interceptions after the blown calls prove that Auburn has won by enough points to say they won it without the help of the refs. No one can say Wilson was going to drive down and score to put the game at 50-37, and force Auburn to throw. He had already thrown 4 TDs with only two incompletions at that time. Auburn had him on the ropes. The interceptions were about to happen anyway. Being behind with the clock running out had nothing to do with it. Who’d guess Arkansas had to throw? You know what I’m saying?

No, Auburn didn’t cheat. Not one bit, and they won. You can never take that away, but if you can’t admit the calls were bullshit and changed the game, then you are wrong. The officials affected the outcome of the game with bad calls, and no one will ever know how it would have turned out otherwise. Arkansas may have lost anyway. We will never know. Everyone involved in the game was cheated. Auburn doesn’t care because they won. Arkansas is pissed and rightfully so.

You guys can keep posting all the crap you want about Auburn. Alabama’s going to kick the crap out of you because Nick Saban has more money than your coach. Arkansas beat Auburn with a back up quarterback… just imagine if Mallet would have been in the game; we would not have to point out the 2 crap calls. The first, we did stop you… then we would have scored. But the refs were payed. The second, we were winning already with our backup. But… the refs had to make sure that that could not have happened. Arkansas or Alabama deserve to be number 1. We will see the truth this year, after Auburn barely beat LSU; and Arkansas destroys them. Arkansas will always be cheated, we have the best athelets in the country. Track wins #1 every year, and if you check the rosters for half the other teams in the SEC… most are from Arkansas.
