Illegal Shift College Football Poll

The four of us (Edwards, Cook, Thompson & Warzecha) who contribute to this blog decided to put together our own College Football poll. We started by each filling out who we think are the top 14 teams. Then we took those results and mashed em together to create the official Illegal Shift College Football Poll.

  1. Oregon (3)
  2. Ohio State (1)
  3. Nebraska
  4. Alabama
  5. Boise State
  6. Auburn
  7. TCU
  8. South Carolina
  9. Oklahoma
  10. Utah
  11. Arkansas
  12. Stanford
  13. Michigan State
  14. LSU

If you think we’ve messed this whole thing up, then let us know in the comments what your top 14 looks like.

Move South Carolina down 2 positions in your rankings and Michigan State up 1, and then your poll matches the one I put together on Sunday. So, yes, I like these rankings.

I actually love this poll. The sleeper sits at 13 right now. Look at Sparty’s schedule. Not only could they but they should win out. Another road test at Iowa is the only game left where they are probably even money. The rest they are clear favorites. With no Suckeyes on their schedule they really need their Maze and Blue neighbors to take care of them. I’m afraid though that even if they do run the table they have too much ground to make up and their schedule will not allow them to jump even the BCS busters.

Jumpin’ on the Oregon bandwagon again eh??? You must be west coast kooks who can understand that The Buckeyes handily defeated the Ducks last year and have more returning this year than the Ducks. Your polling doesn’t make sense, of course most pollsters vote by emotion instead of rational thought.

Last year, last year, last year….. we are talking THIS year, and THIS year, the Ducks are better than Ohio State.

      • THIS.

Oregon is way more explosive than they were last year. And if everything is going to be the same as the last year, and the year before, I guess we should expect Ohio State to get embarrassed in the BCS title game again.

I’m a hardcore Michigan fan and Big Ten supporter/apologist down here in the South who respects Ohio State’s program, but I just honestly don’t think they are the best team in the nation.
