Lead Pipe College Football Locks

College Football Lead Pipe Locks

Over 58.5 – Michigan vs. Bowling Green
Michigan’s offense is ridiculous this year. Yes, Denard Robinson’s emergence is the primary reason, but the rest of the offense is stocked full of fast and experienced playmakers as well. After scoring 42 in a sloppy game last week, there is no way that Bowling Green holds Michigan to less than 40 points in this game. On the other hand, Michigan’s defense is also ridiculous this year. Just a different kind of ridiculous. The Falcons will put enough on the board to cover the over here. Prediction: 45 – 17 Michigan

South Carolina (+3) at Auburn
Everybody seems to be in love with Auburn. Why? They squeaked by Mississippi State two weeks ago and it took them more than 60 minutes last week to remind everyone that Clemson is not that good this year. While the Tigers are busy reading their press clippings, South Carolina is probably UNDER-rated. USC’s defense will give Cam Newton a taste of real SEC defense and lead the Gamecocks to a 4-0 record. Prediction: 24-20 South Carolina

Georgia (Pick ’em) at Mississippi State
Mark Richt and Georgia are just too good to start the 2010 SEC season 0-3, and Mississippi State is just not good enough to do anything about it. Anyone who has seen MSU’s quarterback “situation” this year should know that touchdowns will be hard to come by for them in the SEC this year. AJ Green or no AJ Green, UGA is the better team here and they need this win bad. Prediction: 23 – 16 Georgia

LOCK OF THE WEEK!

Stanford (-4.5) at Notre Dame
Notre Dame has had a tough couple of weeks against the state of Michigan. The Wolverines and Spartans just got the better of the Irish in the last minute of the 4th quarter and overtime, respectively. The Golden Domers are no doubt questioning themselves as they get set to play back in South Bend for the first time since they watched Denard Robinson account for over 500 yards of total offense – personally. Stanford doesn’t have Denard Robinson, but they have another Heisman caliber quarterback in Andrew Luck who leads a much more balanced offense than what Michigan had to offer. Stanford is easily the best team that 1-2 Notre Dame has played at this point in the season. Make that 1-3. Prediction: 34 – 24 Stanford

  1. 58 is a lot of points. I am a little hesitant to take the over. But I like the rest of your picks.
